James Hendry b. 1868 Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

Within the J2 haplogroup, this lineage currently covers only 200 years;
however, with further research, we hope to delve further into the past.

James Hendry, born 1868,

in Fraserburg, Scotland; left his native land and ventured to Sweden in 1889. He was armed with only his knowledge of commercial fishing, specializing in herring. He prospered and grew a Swedish family who still live there.

The chart, to the right, shows James (mid, far right) and his ancestors hailing from Aberdeen. We've only been able to trace back to John Hendry and his son, George - both "of" Abderdeenshire. We would like to be able to expand this lineage;and the Swedish Hendrys are planning trips to Aberdeen to do some research. Should you have any information on this line, please...
